MARKETAS

Rates: $75 - $155
"I recently enjoyed a stay at Marketas B&B in lovely James Bay, far enough away from the noise of downtown, but close enough to easily walk! I loved the homey vintage decor of the house, the helpful staff, and the AMAZING breakfast- freshly made muffins included!! After eating and chatting with the other guests- another perk of a bed and breakfast!- I went to my room and soaked in my jacuzzi, a true vacation! I would definitely reccommend Marketas to anyone who loves good food, comfortable beds and an extraordinary hostess!"

SCHOLEFIELD HOUSE

"We could not have had a better time in Victoria. The Scholefield House was amazing, and the service that George and Tana provided was exceptional. We were married there in the parlor, and everything was perfect. And the breakfasts! We still miss the wonderful breakfasts. Don't miss the opportunity to make your visit to Victoria pass the four-star mark."

BINNERS VICTORIA

Rates: $79 to $265
"When we booked the Bed and Breakfast online, we were unsure as to what to expect, not ever having been to one before. But upon arriving, we were instantly in love with the place. Our room was gorgeous and Edward and Binners welcomed us into their home with open arms. The breakfasts were AMAZING, I am forever ruined for regular dull and boring cereal or my bagel on the run breakfasts. They were knowledgable about the area, things that were happening, and answered any questions we had, or searched for the answers if they didnt know it. The house itself and the gardens were BEAUTIFUL and so well taken care of. You can tell that they are proud of their establishment and it shows. I cant wait to go back again!!! I would and HAVE recommended this to anyone going to Victoria!"

TRUTCH MANOR
http://www.trutchmanor.com
Rates: $85 to $155
"Trutch Manor is a five star bed and breakfast in beautiful Victoria. The suites are beautifully decorated, private and absolutely spotless. We were treated to a different five course breakfast every day (we were there for six days) that was absolutely delicious, and so filling that we skipped lunch. Les and Marilyn are perfect hosts, making us feel very welcome and at home. They suggested things we could do during our stay, suggested great local places to eat, and arranged for booking our whale watching trip (we saw orcas, seals, seal lions and eagles), car rental and pick up to return to the airport. We met people from all over the world at breakfast each morning, and our stay was absolutely delightful. Trutch Manor is within walking distance of Government House, Craigdarrock Castle, Beacon Hill Park and the Victoria Inner Harbour. Very highly recommended."

"We just got back from our stay at this B&B and we had a wonderful time. Everything from the outside of the property, down to every detail inside was everything one would expect from a charming B&B but also with some interesting touches added by the owners who have a background in art and theater. They were wonderful hosts."

"
I'm in love with this place. It was my first bed and breakfast experience, and now its all I want to do! First of all- this place is about half the price of the victoria hotels...which makes it REALLy worth it. Secondly- parking is free and breakfast is free and snacks and drinks are free....that is worth at least $100. Our room was great- AMAZING bed and linens. Aveda bathroom products- very good! However- the best part of the entire experience was coming downstairs in the morning and having Ian serve us breakfast. It was STELLAR. I would go as far to say its the best breakfast Ive ever had! The salmon eggs benedict and homemade granola and yogurt.... not to mention the homemade scone! Omg. It really was one of the highlights of our trip. Ian made our excursion reservations for us. He gave us suggestions on things to do and also helped out if we needed anything. This place REALLY is the #1 bed and breakfast in all of Canada for a reason! I will be returning!"

"We were graciously met at the door by the Owner of this Gorgeous Bed and Breakfast. A warm welcome and look around told us this is THE place to stay. The location is perfect for those who love to stroll to the water front adventures or the beautiful park a few blocks away. Our host was very helpful in directing us to the best places to eat and visit along with directions when needed. Did we mention the GOURMET BREAKFAST!!! I did ask if we could get the yearly rate...We felt sooooo pampered. It truly filled us to the brim with one of the best breakfasts' we have had in quite some time. Loved the glazed pears and the homemade croissants and veggie omelete. The accommodations were just perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable, the rooms exquisite and peaceful. We met a great couple there and had a great time exploring Victoria together as well. Everything at this B & B is TOP NOTCH and you WILL be pampered here. Thanks you two for a great time there in Victoria."

ASHCROFT HOUSE B & B
http://www.ashcrofthousebandb.com
Rates: $119 to $199
"This place was fabulous - I arrived late at night, David gave me directions to Kompira (a very authentic and wonderful little Japanese restaurant downtown Victoria), and then I settled down for the night in one of the biggest beds I've ever snoozed in. A gigantic monstrous thing that could have fit a small family! The room was nice".
" I loved my stay at Ashcroft House B&B in Victoria. What a perfect location, only a block from the sea! I saw the most spectacular sunset there my first night and really enjoyed the proximity to the sea walk which goes for miles.
My room (Cotswold) was beautiful and so soothing. Bathroom a bit tight, but had all the necessary things. The nights were very quiet - no neighborhood noise or much noise from other guests. My hosts were wonderful - so friendly and helpful. I received a very warm greeting, even though I was kind of early to check in.The breakfasts at Ashcroft are really something - four courses of delicious treats! You won't feel hungry all day. I met charming people at our meals. What a nice way to start my day. I would definitely stay at Ashcroft House again. Worth every penny.
