CURATORIAL STUDIES
Curatorial Project (CURA 311)
This one-on-one course focuses on the developing and curating of a group exhibition for the Slide Room Gallery. Topics covered include: basics of running a non-profit gallery including writing contracts and grants; promotion and installation of an exhibitions as well as conceptual concerns in contemporary curating, on both a local and international basis. Course includes a bi-weekly discussion meetings as well as on-going consultations regarding each individual's curatorial project.
Prerequisite: Enrollment in Diploma program or permission of the Director.
