Jeremy Herndl was born in BC and has lived and worked across Canada, Europe and Japan. He earned his BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1996 and his MAA in painting at Emily Carr University in 2011. Jeremy’s painting practice deals with landscape where the human and the natural coalesce, exploring the meaning of the historic practice of plein air painting in the contemporary world. Jeremy’s work is in private and public collections in Canada and abroad, and he is represented by Equinox Gallery in Vancouver and Winchester Galleries in Victoria. Jeremy recently received grants from the BC Arts Council and the Canada Arts Council.
