This course offers an in-depth exploration of the drawing techniques of six iconic Renaissance masters: Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Raphael Sanzio, Titian (Tiziano Vecellio), Tintoretto, and Albrecht Dürer. Each week, we will focus on one artist, examining their life, artistic evolution, and distinctive drawing methods through engaging discussions. Students will engage in hands-on drawing exercises, learning to apply key elements of each master’s techniques. The course will emphasize Renaissance principles such as anatomical precision, the use of perspective, dramatic lighting, and emotional expression.
