Supply List - Drawing for the Absolute Beginner

Items required for the first class:

- sketchbook (8" x 10" or larger)

- HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B pencils

- white soft eraser

- 18" x 24" or larger cartridge pad (10-20 sheets to start)

Additional supplies to be discussed at first class:

- pencil sharpener

- compressed charcoal

- willow or vine stick charcoal

- charcoal pencils

- kneaded eraser

- blending stumps (3-4 in various sizes)

- small set of soft chalk pastels

- charcoal or pastel paper 9"X12" (a few pieces, white or coloured)

- large pad of newsprint paper (18" x 24") 30-40 sheets to start

- grey gum eraser (kneadable)

Optional items:

- bulldog clips (2 large size)

- drawing board

- fixative Spray
