Supply List - Egg Tempera Painting 

2-3 sheets of white Arches or Fabriano watercolour paper (available in the drawers; the staff will

help you find it if you have trouble) 140 lb, hot or cold press are both fine

I-2 small canvases (any dimensions) - optional (we will work on paper as the default but you

may also work on canvas if you want!)

Pencils

Kneaded gum eraser

Watercolour paintbrushes (various sizes)

Paper towels

Small containers for paints - the best are the small sauce dishes readily available in Chinatown.*

*Check out Dragon Village on Fisgard St for a great selection of small dishes at about $1 each

NB: Please do not buy shallow plastic palettes – they are really not useful

Pigments and eggs will be provided, but if you own any pigments and want to try them, feel free

to bring them to class
