Supply List - Graphite: Experimentation and Expression

Required for first class:

- Sketchbook

- Graphite Pencils (range from 4H - 6B, consider purchasing a set)

- Pencil sharpener

- 1 sheet of black drawing paper (18”x24” or similar)

- 1 photograph printed black and white on computer paper

- Ruler

- White vinyl eraser

- Kneaded eraser

Other materials to be discussed:

- X-acto blade

- Blending stump

- Cotton rag (for blending, scrap of an old t-shirt is fine)

- Graphite powder

- Graphite sticks (one or two of different hardness such as 2B and 4B)

- Lyra watersoluble graphite crayon

- Graphite transfer paper

- YUPO synthetic paper (min. 1 sheet)

- Assorted sheets of drawing paper (22”x30” or similar size, min. 3 sheets)

Note: Supplies can be purchased in downtown Victoria at: Art World (860 Yates St), Island Blue (905 Fort St) or Opus (512 Herald St).

Some of the local Art stores offer a student discount or PST exemption:

1. Let them know at the cash that you are a student at VISA

2. Show proof of registration or payment (your Registration Receipt email from VISA).
