Supply List - Painting: Series Development

- 12 photographs (developed prints/digital print-outs) from photo shoot of one "neighbourhood"

- 9" x 12" or larger sketch book

- pencil and eraser

Other supplies & Materials: Bring the usual materials you use to paint with (Items listed below are just suggestions):

- Paint: Primary Magenta (or quinacridone magenta), Primary Cyan (or cerulean or cobalt blue), Ultramarine Blue, Primary yellow, Titanium white, Raw Umber (or burnt umber, or van dyke brown).

- Brushes: round brush (#1), filbert brushes (#2, #4, #6, #8 - or roughly 1/8", 1/4", 1/2"). Get synthetic interlocking fibre brushes (Opus makes a decent brush). Please avoid cheap paint brush sets.

- 1 large 2.5" hardware store brush.

- Acrylic slow-dry glazing medium. Mineral spirits and alkyd medium for oil painters.

- Masking tape

- Cotton rags or shop towel

- Aluminium foil over a plate as a palette

- Containers for water and medium

- 6 painting surfaces (either canvas boards, stretched canvases, or gessoed wood panels - sizes of your choice)
