    Discover Amina Ejaz's background and education. Biography Amina Ejaz is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Art History and Visual Studies at the University of Victoria in Canada, specializing in contemporary Pakistani art history. Her research interests encompass a range of topics related to postcolonial theory, activism, and feminism in Pakistan. She is also interested in the politics of archives, the decolonization process of colonial art schools, and recentering art history teachings. Amina completed her Master’s degree at the University of Edinburgh in Art History (Theory and Display), before joining the National College of Arts, Lahore as an Assistant Professor in the Cultural Studies Department in 2015.     Discover Kate Brooks-Heinimann's background and education. Biography Kate Brooks-Heinimann is an artist and certified art educator based on Lekwungen Territory (Victoria, BC). She teaches art at Vancouver Island School of Art, McTavish Academy and in School District 61. Kate completed her Certificate of Visual Art at VISA in 2013, her BFA at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2016, and a BEd in art education at UVic in 2021. Since 2016, Kate’s work has been exhibited throughout British Columbia and Alberta and she has completed multiple artwork commissions within Canada and the United States. She has also been awarded scholarships to Parks Canada’s Art in the Park Artist Residency, and the Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts Mentored Studio Residency. As an artist, Kate’s work is deeply rooted in learning about nature and sharing her findings with others through painting.     Discover Neil McClelland's background and education. Biography Neil grew up in Quebec and received his MFA from the University of Victoria in 2014. He has had solo and group exhibitions in BC, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec and has worked as an art educator in a wide range of institutions, including the University of Victoria and the Art Gallery of Alberta.
