Lukas is a reasonable brand with nice vivid colours suitable to this course's approaches A range of warm and cool primary colours. Reds: Alizarin Crimson (cool), Cadmium red hue (Warm) Yellows: Cadmium light hue (W), Lemon Yellow or Hansa Yellow (C) Blues: Cerulean (C) & Ultramarine (W) Raw Sienna and Payne's Grey Watercolour: Similar idea and a similar colour range Acrylic medium Any brand, used for base coats Inks Black ink specifically for fountain pens such as Parker Quink. Discover Lucia Volker's background and education. Biography Lucia Volker is an artist and designer who explores abstraction using various techniques in painting, printmaking and site-specific mixed media installations. Inspired by formal elements of design, mark making and non-fine art types of painting, Lucia has developed a vast body of work shown in galleries across Canada and the United States, including Red Head Gallery in Toronto and ZINC Contemporary in Seattle. Discover Kelly Zantingh's background and education. Biography Kelly Zantingh (she/her) is a visual artist and photographer based on lekwungen territory (Victoria, bc). She graduated with a BAH in studio art from the University of Guelph in 2016 and has participated in artist residencies in Nova Scotia, the Yukon, Portugal, and Victoria. Her work has been exhibited widely across Canada in group and two-person shows in Toronto, Montreal, and Dawson City. She had her first solo exhibition exploring sculptural photography in 2023 at the Fifty Fifty Arts Collective in Victoria entitled lifelines, water bodies. Her works centre around intimacy, touch, bodies and their interactions with land and environments in the age of the Anthropocene. Biography Tony has been working professionally for thirty years as a commercial photographer and is a photo arts graduate (BAPA) from Toronto Metropolitan University . He currently teaches digital photography, iPhoneography and Photo-Based Mixed Media and Collage at University of Victoria Continuing Ed. Biography Jenny Hainsworth is a Victoria-based artiste and writer who studied Fine Arts at Langara College in Vancouver before completing a BA in linguistics at UBC.
