Painting: Introduction to Colour

Let mysteries of working with colour be revealed to you.

In this beginner level course, you will be introduced to the building blocks of colour: value, hue, saturation, and explore how to use them. You will learn how to mix and match colours as well as how our perception of colour is affected by surrounding colours. You will discover how light affects colour and how to use translucent and opaque applications of paint to achieve different results. Each project will be contextualized through examples of work by historical and contemporary artists. Suitable for all levels. THURSDAYS, MAY 21 - JUN 25, 2PM - 5PM(PDT) IN-PERSON
