In this course, we will learn how to translate photos into realistic drawings that capture a sense of time and space. Using graphite on both paper and mylar, we’ll develop techniques for accuracy, shading, and composition. We will explore the work of contemporary artists who reinterpret photographs through drawing—capturing not just what is seen, but what is felt. Working with both found and personal images, we will explore how photographs shape our perception of memory and reality.
