This course will concentrate on observing the ways plants grow and discovering ways to represent this in your artwork. You will learn to link the practice of observation, gathering plant information and expression of personal feelings and then develop this into a larger painting. You will be challenged to think beyond obvious human perception by investigating things such as how pollinators find flowers and the colour energetics used in these symbiotic relationships. Over the six-week period you will explore colours, plants, and pollinators through the act of seeing and close observation, preliminary studies, and then the development of one larger painting.
